Provenance: Jean Cocteau Estate. Inherited by Édouard Dermitte (who inherited the whole contents of Cocteau’s studio). Purchased from Dermitte by American private collector. To William Weston Gallery from that collector.
Note: The monogram Estate Stamp was put on all paperworks found in Cocteau’s studio at the time of his death.
On light wove paper with a ‘Japan Paper’ watermark. Excellent original condition. Sheet: 281 x 216mm. Image: 223 x 161mm.
