The largest format work in Arp’s graphic oeuvre. The first of ten proof impressions.
Original lithograph in colours. 1962. Signed in pencil. Numbered 1 from the proof edition of X (10). There was also an issued edition of 75 signed impressions. Drawn and printed at the studio of Wasserman, Basel 1962.
This work was created by Arp for his exhibition at the Kunsthalle in Basel in 1962. After the edition lettering was added to the plates and it was used as the poster for the Museum show in an edition of 300. The composition was derived from his studies for a relief created in 1917.

Excellent impression with unusually fresh unfaded colours and in exceptionally well preserved condition. On pale cream wove paper. Print surface and paper excellent. Worked to the full sheet size, as issued. Sheet: 905 x 900mm. Image: 900 x 900mm.
