Issued to mark the 1954 exhibition ‘Paris’ at the Galerie Maeght - the first major exhibition of Chagall’s work in Europe after the War and a celebration by him of his return to Paris. Published in the series ‘Derrière le Miroir’ by Maeght Editeur, Galerie Maeght Paris 1954.

Note: There was also an edition of Chagall’s series of eight colour lithographs, including ‘Quai aux Fleurs’ in the regular edition of the ‘Derrière le Miroir’ album. These impressions were unsigned, not numbered and slightly trimmed in size compared to the hand-printed signed edition here.
