Original etching with brush-drawn aquatint printed in colours. 1960. Signed in pencil. Numberd in pencil from the edition of 75. (There were also 10 proof impressions). Etched and printed at the studio of Paul Haasen, Paris 1960.

Note: Chagall only rarely worked in colour etching and ‘Le Coq Jaune’ is widely considered his finest print in this medium with a superb painterly handling of colour and texture.
Brilliant rich impression with very strong colours. On cream wove Arches paper. Excellent condition. Full margins. Sheet: 535x390mm. Plate: 450x286mm.
