Stella Prints no 106.

The full sheet: 432 x 559mm.

This composition was created by Stella for a

portfolio of seven prints, all by differing artists, including Warhol and

Johns, who exhibited with Leo Castelli in New York in the mid 1970’s. The

portfolio, and individual works from it, were to be sold to raise money for the

Merce Cunningham Dance  Company. Merce

Cunningham was one of the very greatest and most individual dancers and

choreographers in the world of American and international 20th

century modern ballet and dance.
