'The Hands' is one of the most famous themes in this series, and indeed a central symbol in the whole of Corbusier's painted and graphic work.

The 'Poème de l'Angle

Droit' is a series of 19 compositions (and a cover illustration) drawn by Le

Corbusier in 1955, together with illustrated poems by him, which are considered

to be the most comprehensive summary of his architectural and design beliefs

and his overall 'world picture'.

The series was issued as a portfolio - there was a

special issue of 60 examples for which the lithographs were signed by Corbusier

(as here). It was followed by a general edition of 250 in which none of the

prints were signed.
