This work is from the famous 1968 series of images which Dali created as an imaginary album of Flora, using the humorous series title ‘Flora Dalinae – Dali Flowers’  in the manner of the great 19th century Flora Albums with Latin flower names.  He created figure characters which seem to emerge from the flower forms. These compositions have become amongst the most renowned of his 60s period prints.
