Provenance: Jean Cocteau Estate. Inherited by Édouard Dermit (Cocteau's close friend and the lead actor in Cocteau's most important films. Dermit was also acknowledged by Cocteau as his sole heir). FM Private Collection USA.

Note: The monogram Estate Stamp was put on all paperworks found in Cocteau's studio at the time of his death.

Very strong unfaded black chalk on cream light wove sketchbook paper. Generally in excellent original condition (a short tear in the right margin professionally restored). Sheet: 350 x 265mm.
